Standard Evaluation

Submit and verify
A secure application record is created and the applicant email is verified.

Identity and eligibility
ISSN, journal identity, website, policies and possible duplicate records are checked.

A fee is requested only after eligibility. Payment never determines the outcome.

Evaluation and decision
Evidence is assessed under the assigned methodology and reviewed by an authorised person.

Only an approved public status or result is released, with continuing record controls.

Automated systems may assist with identity checks, metadata validation, duplication detection, website analysis and evidence preparation. Every final evaluation decision and public result release requires authorised human approval.

Evaluation fees cover evaluation processing and evidence review. Payment does not guarantee approval, a favourable score, a ranking position, a certificate or continued public inclusion.

Understand what submission, listing, payment and evaluation mean before you apply.
Does applying mean the journal is evaluated?
No. Applying creates an application record. A pending Journal List entry is not an evaluation, score, ranking or certificate.
When is the evaluation fee requested?
The evaluation fee is requested only after the journal passes the configured eligibility review. The amount and currency are confirmed before payment.
Does payment guarantee approval?
No. Payment covers evaluation administration and evidence review. It does not guarantee any outcome.
Why may a pending journal appear in the Journal List?
A public pending record helps scholars and publishers see that an application exists and understand its current stage. The record clearly states when no evaluation result has been released.
Can the journal choose its final track?
The applicant may state a preference. SIIFI confirms the final track after reviewing the journal’s evidence and maturity.
How does SIIFI use AI or automation?
Automation may validate structured information and organise evidence. It cannot make or release the final evaluation decision.
Can submitted information be corrected?
Yes. Draft information may be edited before submission. Later corrections and evidence responses are handled through the Publisher Dashboard or evaluation support.
